Neck Pain

What are the causes of neck pain?

Neck pain is a common and often debilitating condition, particularly among older people in the United Kingdom. In recent years, low-level laser therapy (LLLT) has emerged as an accessible treatment for managing neck pain, providing a non-invasive and proven approach to alleviating discomfort.

We do not realise how much we use our necks until something goes wrong and the loss of mobility and constant discomfort drives us to seek effective pain relief.

Approximately 40-70% of the population experiences neck pain at some point during their lifetime. The cause of the pain is often due to our habits; for example, pressure is exerted on the neck vertebrae during driving and poor posture when sitting for prolonged periods. Indeed, according to the British Medical Journal, there is an increased prevalence in people working in clerical and service industries and agriculture with people between the age of 50 to 55 among those most affected. Neck pain may involve other symptoms: pain can manifest as headache, stiffness in your neck, shoulders and upper back, being unable to turn your neck or tilt your head and numbness or tingling (pins and needles) feeling in your shoulders or arms.

Causes of neck pain

Several disorders, injuries, and diseases can cause pain. Neck vertebrae deterioration, trauma-induced whiplash with rapid forward and backward head movement, or a herniated disc between the neck vertebrae, placing pressure on a nerve, are potential causes.

Neck pain can also stem from infections related to the throat, lymph glands, meningitis or other illnesses. Additionally, medical conditions like fibromyalgia, polymyalgia and arthritis may contribute to the onset of neck pain.

How Can Neck Pain be Treated?

Neck pain may be treated via rest, exercise, massage, physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, acupuncture, cortisone injections, and anesthetic creams.

Whilst effective, none of the above delivers the convenience and relief from persistent pain offered by B-Cure Laser.

B-Cure Laser and the treatment of neck pain

Today, many people seek relief from neck pain using the innovative B-Cure Laser to deliver low-level laser therapy (LLLT) when discomfort strikes. The portable device, which is safe for home use, is clinically proven in multiple scientific studies. Research has shown that LLLT is an effective therapy for alleviating pain in musculoskeletal injuries. (Bjordal 2003; Marini 2010; Öz 2010) and arthritis (Brosseau 2005).

Dr. Roberta Chow from the University of Sydney, Australia, surveyed data from 16 controlled trials totaling 820 people, treated for neck pain using LLLT.

People suffering from chronic neck pain who underwent laser treatments were four times more likely to experience reduced pain than those treated with a placebo.

“The results of LLLT in this review compare favourably with other widely used therapies and especially with pharmacological interventions, for which evidence is sparse and side effects are common.” (The Lancet).

The UK has an ageing population as the Baby Boom generation becomes less physically able, and neck pain and other forms of mobility-limiting discomfort become more prevalent. Therefore, a treatment that does not rely on drug intervention and has no apparent side effects is hugely positive for emotional and physical well-being.

A clinical study on the B-Cure Laser carried out at Parma University in Italy proved the significant efficacy of B-Cure Laser for the treatment of joints.

B-Cure Laser for the Treatment of Neck Pain

B-Cure Laser represents groundbreaking laser therapy that harnesses the power of professional clinic-based lasers. It comes as a lightweight, portable device designed to deliver pain relief in the comfort of your own home. The treatment is both safe and effective, providing lasting pain relief with regular use.

To use a B-Cure Laser, place it in contact with the skin, allowing the photon energy to penetrate into the tissues. This stimulation prompts the body to produce adenosine triphosphate, also known as ATP, which carries energy within the cells. The ATP interacts with various biomolecules inside the cells, promoting normal cell function and enhancing the body’s natural process.

Patients recover from muscular, skeletal, and nerve injuries as cells regenerate faster and function better.

Therapeutic effects of low-level laser therapy (LLLT)

  • Increased production of ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate)
  • Increased cellular metabolism
  • Increased collagen production
  • Increased enzyme production
  • Increased protein synthesis
  • Improved blood circulation
  • Improved lymphatic flow and drainage
  • Reduced inflammation

All this serves to boost the body’s natural healing power, targeting the root causes of pain and providing rapid relief.

B-Cure Laser is unique due to its beam that covers a surface area of 4.5 cm. making it possible to treat a wide range of painful conditions easily, effectively and quickly.

B-Cure Laser is now available for home use and has been proven clinically effective and safe. The treatment has no known side effects and is a non-invasive method for treating many types of orthopaedic conditions.

What are the benefits of B-Cure Laser?

  • Reduces chronic pain when used regularly
  • Non-invasive and non-surgical treatment
  • Suitable for all ages
  • No known side effects
  • Proven clinical efficacy
  • Easy and safe for home use
  • B-Cure Laser is safe for all ages, and does not require protective eyewear.

Treatment Protocol

Position the device beneath the earlobe for 8 minutes. After treating one side, adjust the device for an additional 8 minutes and treat the area beneath the earlobe on the opposite side of the neck.

Once done, set the device for another 8 minutes and position it along the cervical spine. Continue treatment for 8 minutes without any movement.

Regular users of B-Cure Laser therapy, such as Angela in the video above, indicate pain relief is delivered within days.

For ease of use, an adjustable stand is available to stabilise the device and provide treatment without movement, allowing the laser beam to penetrate deeply into the tissues.

For optimal results, repeat the treatment at least twice a day.
